The identical association is used with the pneumatic launch and for time exposures i.e. F is partially depressed. Changing the velocity setting alters the position of the fulcrum of the lever L i.e. where L and T meet. The speeds are set by transferring an external lever which moves the velocity setting rod which adjusts the move of air to and from the pneumatic cylinder. The shutter speed is set on the cam at the top of the camera, this units the tension in spring F which tends to turn lever E anti-clockwise. The setting sector is caught by the discharge lever at its middle notch. When set to T the bottom lever rises, it was held down by the separate T plate, on launch the set off plate can rotate until it meets the tip of the center (B) lever where it is held till strain is removed from the release button, it is then held by the bottom (T) lever until the release knob is again pressed. The lever requires two turns to alter the slit by 1 mm, because the lever is turned it also strikes a pointer round the sting of the velocity dial. Across the centre of the arm is a coiled spring the 2 ends of that are extended to lie each side of a stud on the higher a part of the arm.
