Hidden areas, one could not realize, could get wet and retain moisture for long periods of time if there exists not adequate ventilation inside area.  Soaked wood is often a prime target for molds to grow so sanitizing these properly is essential.  After you have removed any furniture, keep your traffic on the wet carpet to a minimum.
