Its simple design replicates a minnow which enable it to be slow bounced off the bottom or cover. Because stocked trout are really prevalent in many areas and so are the best trout fishing option in the spring trout fishing season, I have spent many a morning or early afternoon for the shores of lakes fishing of these often less colorful and less feisty versions of trout so that they can notice the enjoyable pull of your fish on the end of my line.  Insects as well as other creatures use lily pads and weed beds to lay eggs, this may bring smaller fish therefore bringing bigger fish.
