As the Siya crew previously predicted, Orlando Pirates have confirmed the signings of Platinum Stars duo, goalkeeper Siyabonga Mpontshane and defender, Tshepo Gumede. The two players have been linked to Parktown for quite some time during the January transfer window. Earlier the Roma fodboldtrøjer crew further indicated that Bucs and Mpontshane were in advanced talks. Pirates confirmed through their official Twitter account on the capture. The crew broke the news of Bucs interest in Mpontshane last year following the untimely death of their first choice keeper and Captain Senzo Meyiwa. Although a number of shot-stoppers were linked to the Parktown based club including Barcelona fodboldtrøjer SuperSport United's Ronwen Williams, and Mamelodi Sundowns Wayne Sandilands, Mpontshane remained top of the list. The crew further revealed a move to the Buccaneers was on the cards for defender Tshepo Gumede following an unsuccessful bid by league Champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
